Privacy notice

What we collect, why, where it sits, and how to get it deleted.

1. Who we are

Arete Corporate Advisory Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202541650G), 10 Anson Road, #33-03 International Plaza, Singapore 079903, is the organisation responsible for personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. If you complete the enquiry form, that is:

  • Your name and email address, which are required.
  • Your telephone number, which is optional.
  • Whether you are a business owner, an intermediary, or neither.
  • If you are an owner: company name, industry, banded revenue and banded operating profit, and your reason for making contact. All of these are optional.
  • If you are an intermediary: your firm, your role, whether you have a specific mandate, and the sector concerned.
  • Anything else you write in a free text field.

We ask for bands rather than exact financial figures deliberately. We do not ask for, and the form does not accept, document uploads.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website, and we do not track visitors across other sites.

3. Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to assess whether a business might fall within our acquisition criteria, and to conduct any conversation that follows. We do not use your data for any other purpose, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

4. Who sees it

The principal of Arete Corporate Advisory Pte. Ltd. Enquiries are not circulated to the advisory board, to investors, or to any third party.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share your enquiry with brokers, other buyers, or any list.

We will disclose personal data only where we are required to by law, or where you have given us permission, for example to instruct professional advisers once a transaction is in progress.

5. Where it is stored

The enquiry form is operated by Jotform Inc. Submissions are processed and stored on servers located in the United States. Email correspondence is held on Microsoft 365.

This means personal data you submit through this website is transferred outside Singapore. Where that happens, we rely on contractual terms with the service provider that require a standard of protection comparable to that required under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, in accordance with the transfer limitation obligation under that Act.

If you would prefer not to have your information leave Singapore, do not use the form. Write to us at the registered address below or telephone instead, and we will take your enquiry that way.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted after twelve months. Where a conversation continues, we retain correspondence for as long as is necessary for that purpose and for any legal or regulatory requirement that applies afterwards.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete it. Write to dpo@aretecorporateadvisory.com and we will respond within thirty days.

You may withdraw consent at any time. If you withdraw consent we will stop using your data and delete it, unless we are required to keep it.

8. Security

We apply reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, which is one reason we do not invite financial documents through this website.

If this notice changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
